The Méribel Tourist Office
In 2018, the Méribel valley celebrated its 80th birthday.
Eighty years of history, skiing, sports, and elegance, a remarkable project initiated by a Scottish Colonel, Peter Lindsay, who enlisted specialized architects such as Paul Grillo, André Detour, Christian Durupt, and Charlotte Perriand to create harmonious constructions that blend perfectly into the landscape and contribute to the charm of Méribel.
Located in the heart of the 3 Valleys, the largest ski area in the world, Méribel, made up of its five villages, provides direct access to a true playground, featuring 600 km of slopes, 166 ski lifts, 2 snowparks, 2 km of toboggan runs, and 100 km of Nordic ski trails. It is because Méribel cares about the well-being of its guests that the ski service guarantees a snow coverage rate of 85% above 1800 meters in altitude, thanks to the hillside reservoirs that feed the 788 snow cannons distributed throughout the valley, along with 42 km of walking trails for your summer excursions.
